Open the app

Go to monojot-app.pages.dev in a modern browser. The app opens directly into your note library.

Notes are stored in your browser on your device. They do not sync to a MonoJot server.

Create your first note

Click New

Use the new-note control in the library. A blank note opens in the editor.

Start with a heading

Type # My first note. MonoJot supports Markdown, but plain text works too.

Let autosave work

Your note saves as you type. There is no manual save habit to remember.

Try the core workflow

Use MonoJot like a regular writing surface first. Add structure only when it helps:

  • use #tags for broad groups
  • use @mentions for people or projects
  • use [[Note links]] for relationships between notes
  • use pins for notes you open every day
  • archive notes that should leave the main list but remain searchable

Make a backup early

Because your notes are stored in your browser, clearing site data can remove them. Create a backup before you rely on MonoJot heavily.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Data.
  3. Choose Download full backup.
  4. Store the JSON file somewhere safe.
