MonoJot stores notes in your browser on your device. You are responsible for backups, and Screen Lock is casual privacy, not encryption.

Privacy Policy
What MonoJot collects
MonoJot does not operate server-side note storage. Your notes are stored in your browser on your device. We do not receive, read, or store the content of your notes.
The marketing website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested URL as part of providing the hosting service.
Browser storage
MonoJot uses browser storage to save notes and app preferences. This keeps the app fast and accountless, but it also means clearing browser site data can delete your notes. Download full backups regularly.
Weather and location
If you enable weather features, your browser may ask for location permission. That permission is handled by the browser. You can deny or revoke it in browser settings. Weather is optional and can be disabled if it is not useful to your workflow.
Sharing notes
MonoJot can create compressed note links locally in your browser. The note is placed into the link itself. MonoJot does not upload the note, but anyone with the complete link can read the content of that shared note.
Analytics and advertising
MonoJot does not rely on advertising scripts or tracking pixels for the app experience. If analytics are ever added to the marketing website, this policy should be updated before production use.
Terms of Service
Use of MonoJot
MonoJot is provided as a free tool for personal note-taking and writing. You are responsible for the notes you create, the information you store, and how you share exported files or note links.
Backups and data responsibility
Because notes are stored in your browser, you are responsible for maintaining backups. We cannot recover notes lost through browser data deletion, device loss, file corruption, import mistakes, or user error.
Screen Lock
Screen Lock is a convenience feature for casual privacy on shared devices. It is not encryption, secure storage, or a replacement for device-level security.
Availability
MonoJot is provided as-is. We aim to keep the app available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability, or compatibility with every browser configuration.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MonoJot and its creator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or data-loss damages arising from use of the app.
Cookie Policy
MonoJot does not use cookies for the app experience. The app uses browser storage for notes and preferences. Browser storage is not transmitted to our servers as a cookie.
